meetings on
a houseboat
Fancy an inspiring meeting afloat?
AMSTEL Meetings provides a unique experience in a beautiful location.
On a houseboat in the heart of Amsterdam in the Amstel.

For a compact meeting, brainstorm session, lunch, team building, farewell, welcome, training or something else; feel at home on the water at this sustainable and stimulating location.
The room is equipped with a large table that can comfortably seat 8 people. A (tiltable) digital flipchart ensures that everyone can take the notes home digitally. A beautiful piece of technology. This 55″ screen can also be instantly transformed into a large monitor.
Sound comes from the beautiful Geneva audio system (XL). This sets the right mood streamingingly.
reasons to book
Floating meetings: everyone wants to experience that! The AMSTEL Meetings houseboat, located in a wide part of Amstel, has a gigantic sliding door that makes the outside and inside one and provides a nice, light space.
The interior of the ark is very modern and feels luxurious. The furniture and sanitary facilities are of design quality. For example, there is an Offecct Solitaire chair to retire with a laptop.
Inside is a wood-burning stove that provides an instant atmosphere in the winter. This is where the drinks taste best after the meeting. Both the front and back of the boat are equipped with a fire pit where it is also good to relax, with pleasant background music from the outdoor speakers.
If the weather permits, you can go outside on the spacious deck to have a drink in the sun or under the large parasol. Smaller groups can also meet here. In this way, a nice variety can be provided.
Finally: we have an all-in price; no surprises afterwards! Curious? Check our availability here.
route and location
The houseboat of AMSTEL Meetings is located in the Amstel, diagonally opposite the prestigious Amstel Hotel. The boat is easily accessible due to its central location.
taxi/Uber
Taxis are waiting for Amsterdam Central and Amstel. You order an Uber via the app.
Tell the driver to drop you off next to the Torontobridge or on the other side of Amsteldijk 9 (navigation systems sometimes have problems finding number 700).
car
Parking near the houseboat on the streets is about € 4 per hour. This amounts to € 36/24 hours. And a lot of searching …
We can also offer you a parking space in our garage. This costs € 40 per day (part). So you don’t have to look for a place and the car is safe.
Send us an email in advance to reserve the parking space.
Sometimes the navigation has trouble finding the ark. We are located next to the Torontobridge / Stadhouderskade on the other side of the Amsteldijk 9.
train
Most connections in the Netherlands go to Amsterdam Central. Then take the metro to the Weesperplein stop. From here it is a 10 minute walk to the houseboat.
You can also choose to get off at Amsterdam Amstel. Then take the metro to the Weesperplein stop. From here it is about a 10 minute walk to the houseboat.
reception
The meetings take place in Studio X. Upon arrival a host will be present to let you in and help you on your way; possibly with the beamer or connecting a laptop to the flat screen. We will also help to get on the WiFi (this is also mentioned in the confirmation email). All this information is also on a receipt leaflet.
The host will prepare the ordered lunch for you as quietly as possible. We usually do this around 12:30 pm. But this can of course – in consultation – be deviated from. When a bicycle tour or boat trip has been booked, the skipper, guide or host will let you in again.
leaving
At the end of the day, just close the door behind you. We’ll take care of the rest!
